Our firm has two offices; one in Hanover Park, just ten miles west of O’Hare International Airport, and another in the Chicago Loop, one block from the Daley Center, Cook County's central courthouse. We represent people throughout the Chicago metropolitan area, including the North Shore, Northwest Suburbs, and communities throughout the Cook County, Kane County, Lake County, DuPage County, and Mc Henry County. Developing Relationships with Our ClientsAt the Law Offices of Elliot Heidelberger, we build long-term relationships with our clients. Many of the issues associated with divorce such as child support, child custody and visitation, alimony and spousal maintenance, financial planning, allocation of business interests, and removal of children to another state may continue after the divorce is final. We believe that the trust and respect we earn from our clients while dealing with marital and non-marital property, orders of protection, and paternity issues during the proceedings gives them the best possible opportunity for optimal results. As a result, many of our clients return to have us represent them if issues arise following the entry of the final order in their case. Our Experienced Chicagoland Divorce AttorneysThroughout his legal career, Elliot Heidelberger has represented clients in a variety of cases from jury trials in personal injury litigation to real estate closings, preparation of wills, commercial litigation and most importantly all phases of family law matters. His family law experience includes trials of contested child custody matters, contested and uncontested adoptions, property division, prosecuting and defending claims of maintenance, prosecuting and defending claims of parentage (paternity), permenant relocation and removal of children from Illinois, Orders of Protection and related matters. During his professional career Elliot has achieved certain goals which make him especially proud to be a family law attorney. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). To qualify, Elliot had to pass a nationwide written exam covering all areas of family law and an oral exam administered by experienced members of the matrimonial (family) law bar. The AAML is a national organization of attorneys who concentrate their practices in family law and who are focused on doing what they can, as attorneys, to make the process of divorce one which betters society. He has been appointed by judges in Cook County as a Guardian ad Litem and Children's Representative in cases where the parents are unable to agree such issues as custody and parenting time. The children are his clients and he accepts this representation very seriously, taking whatever steps he believes are necessary to protect the best interests of his clients, the children. Elliot has been selected by his peers as a member of the Leading Lawyer Network of Illinois and has been named as an Illinois Family Law Super Lawyer. The relationships our firm builds with our employees is indicative our firm’s commitment to our clients.
